COADE releases CodeCalc 2008 for Pressure Vessel and Heat Exchanger Component Design
and Stress Analysis, with Code Updates and Other Enhancements

HOUSTON, Texas - January 31, 2008 : COADE, Inc. announced today the release of CodeCalc 2008, an updated edition of the company's software for the design and stress analysis of pressure vessel and heat exchanger components that incorporates the latest ASME code updates to Section VIII Division 1. Other enhancements in CodeCalc allow you to generate ASME U-1 forms in Microsoft Excel format for easy customization. Improved design and analysis capabilities now allow engineers to add stiffening rings to jacketed vessels, and enhanced input dialogs now display increased information in relation to the components being designed. CodeCalc 2008 also offers improvements for calculating blind flange (end cover) maximum allowable working pressure and in the output processor.

CodeCalc is the leading industry software package for the design and analysis of pressure vessel and heat exchanger components. The software calculates pressure and wall thickness and evaluates loads from supports and attachments. CodeCalc includes extensive built-in materials and components databases and the latest standards from ASME, TEMA, PD 5500 and the UBC.

COADE has also released PV Elite 2008, an enhanced version of the company's popular integrated pressure vessel design and analysis software. A complete list of the enhancements in CodeCalc 2008 and PV Elite 2008 is available at
