"Having recently reentered the engineering workplace after a ten year
sabbatical, the use of computers and software programs in engineering
applications has exponentially increased. Being new to all of the
current software, I was forced to learn on my own through reading the
manuals and using the trial and error method with the software which
programs would be the most valuable to me in the design of various
types of pressure vessels. I quickly discovered that CodeCalc was by
far the easiest to use and offered the most powerful analysis tools
while still maintaining flexibility. Comparing two software, CodeCalc and one of its competitors, by working the analysis of the same vessel, it took me 45
minutes to completely analyze the vessel in CodeCalc while it took me a
day and a half to analyze the vessel in the other program. CodeCalc by
far is the superior program in every aspect; powerful, reliable
analysis; erroroneous input notification for correction; clear,
understandable output; flexibility of output; exporting of output to
other programs; complete vessel analysis; and simple component
analysis. Using any other program for pressure vessel design in my opinion is a waste of time." |
